Praying for Uvalde and Beyond

Joyce and I were on Pray with Others Live today, along with Intercessors for America's President and CEO, Dave Kubal, who interviewed David Holt, an intercessor from Uvalde, TX. Holt provided on-site insights and prayer direction to cover his hometown as it reels from last week's school shooting.

Joyce and I covered other articles from www.HeadlinePrayer.org including my article, "Lies of the Left."

Here's today's program:

And here's my full interview with Peter Puhek, a science analyst for the U.S. Air Force:

The Ann and Phelim Scoop covers "A Triumph for Life in the NYC Theatre World!"

On May 14 my article "A Triumph for Life in the NYC Theatre World!" ran on www.HeadlinePrayer.org along with an interview with Phelim McAleer, producer of the play based on the trial of Kermit Gosnell. Phelim included excerpts from our interview in his most recent webisode of The Ann and Phelim Scoop...

A Triumph for Life in the NYC Theatre World!

Tonight and tomorrow are the last New York City performances of Oh Gosnell: A Show About the Truth. Joyce and I saw it last night, and it was incredibly powerful. I wrote about it for www.HeadlinePrayer.org: "A Triumph for Life in the NYC Theatre World!" It covers the trial of Kermit Gosnell, who regularly induced labor and snipped the spinal columns of the babies at his abortion clinic. Every word in the play is taken from court transcripts and the grand jury report.

Here's my interview with the show's creator, Phelim McAleer:

After seeing the show we interviewed David Atkinson, the director, and captured some of my reactions:

If you only have three minutes, here are clips from both interviews and some of my reactions to the play:

The Matter of Life

Tracy Robinson was on Pray with Others Live today talking about her film, The Matter of Life. We’re reposting my article about Robinson’s film because exactly two weeks after the draft majority opinion of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked to Politico, the film will be in theaters, helping people make sense of what abortion is. During Robinson’s November 30, 2021, appearance, on the eve of the Supreme Court opening statements for the Dobbs case, on Pray with Others Live Judy McDonough said, “We have a great God who’s going to time it perfectly.” He certainly did!

This episode of Pray with Others Live was nominated for the Best Justice - Prayer and Best Justice - Sanctity of Life awards at the at the Content2022 Film Festival and Media Summit

Shooting the Breeze with the Flyboys

Today's my Dad's birthday, so I posted an article about him I recently came across:

Shooting the breeze with the flyboys

Dad in front of a TBM. He flew
one over forest fires when he
was in his 20s.

Dad's adventures as a pilot most certainly inspired me to live adventurously for the Lord!

I just realized I'd never made an album from our trip to Oshkosh in 29019, so I pulled that together, too: Oshkosh 2019.

I play a lead in Providence, which you can bring to your area.

Be a Happy Host, not a Grouch!

Joyce continues Westchester Chapel's series on "What Happens When a Created People Walk Away From their Creator?" with a message on hospitality from 1 Peter 4:9.  She mentions Luke 9:26, Matthew 24: 4-14, Exodus 24: 1-11, Psalm 23, Hebrews 13: 1-3 and Matthew 10:40-42.  I got to share a funny story, and she includes an excerpt from The Adventum 4.

Praying Over Broadway on the National Day of Prayer

I was looking for a National Day of Prayer event in Manhattan, and after being shocked that there wasn't one, it dawned on me that I'd already scheduled our weekly prayer over Broadway theatres on the National Day of Prayer, so I registered it as one of their official events!

Here are the details:
We'll meet on the northeast corner of Eighth Avenue and West 47th Street in Manhattan on May 5 at 8:30 a.m. There we'll pray over Manhattan and the Entertainment Mountain of Influence, and then set forth to pray over some specific Broadway theatres. Look for the bowed heads. We could move out as early as 8:35, but we'll post the next theatre and its address in the comments below before moving to the next theatre.
We'll also make it a virtual event, so you can join us from anywhere in the world:
