There was a moose right out side!

Okay, so it was iron, but Wisconsin turns out to be a great state: the 32nd in which I've presented.

The people here are marvelous. No surprise since Joyce lived some of her formative years here.

Dear Rich,
Wisconsin should be part of Canada, really. Toronto has moose sculptures all over the city. They are decorated to feature various points of interest...for instance, the world famous Hospital for Sick Children has a male and a female full size moose at its front doors. These are painted with cartoon pictures of children seeing doctors, having surgery, being visited, holding balloons, being discharged etc...VERY BIZARRE. But nothing to being stopped by real life moose loitering around in the middle of a provincial highway...which has happened to me on several occasions over the years. Recently two young policemen hit a moose in the fog near Bracebridge. One was killed instantly and the other sustainedmajor injuries. I don't really know why moose are sculpted, painted, and silouetted so frequently as if they were teddy bears or snuggly bunnies. A moose is no laughing matter, which anyone in Wisconsin or Canada would know.
