Two extaordinary nights
On August 17, 1945, the internment camp in Weihsien, China, where Eric Liddell had been held, was liberated. On Thursday night, August 17, 61 years later, I got to perform my play about Eric Liddell for the family of David Michell. His book, A Boy's War, about his time in the internment camp with Eric, was the basis for the last quarter of my play. He died a few years ago, but his entire family was able to attend.
